Ms. Strachan is the Vice President of Global Business Consulting for Europe at American Express Global Business Travel (GBT). She leads a team of consultants who are recognised experts in T&E spend management and optimisation. Ms Strachan has worked in the travel and meetings industry for the last 20 years, and prior to GBT held the role of Global Commercial Lead for Business Travel Management at pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. Under the leadership of Ms. Strachan, AstraZeneca Travel Service, a global team with expertise from both AstraZeneca and GBT, was awarded the Best Travel Team category in the 2013 Business Travel Awards.

Prior to working at AstraZeneca, Ms. Strachan led the international travel programme at Yahoo! and also headed up Global Group Travel/EMEA Travel Management at Cisco. She has also sat on the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Board of Directors, chaired GBTA in Europe and the Institute of Travel Managers (ITM) in the UK. Caroline has received a number of industry awards including the GBTA Luoma award in 2012 for services to the European travel and meetings management industry and the Business Travel News Multinational Travel Manager of the Year award in 2013.
